SYMPTOMS
When you try to install Microsoft Visio Network Equipment version 2000.1, you may receive the following error message:
Setup has detected Visio 2000 on this machine. Run setup again and choose Visio Network Equipment for Visio 2000. Setup will now exit.
CAUSE
Visio Network Equipment (VNE) subscribers of Visio Corporation's subscription service received a final update from this subscription service. This final update, VNE 2000.1, is packaged on two separate CDs that appear to be identical. However, the lower edge of each CD label is marked with the version of Visio it is meant to be installed with. The problem occurs when you use the installation CD for the wrong version. RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, use the Visio Network Equipment CD designed for Visio 2000 to perform the installation.
