SUMMARY

This step-by-step article describes how to use Microsoft Office Publisher 2003 and Microsoft Publisher 2002 to create business cards and print them on Avery business card labels (SKU# 3612).

Note This Avery package includes 80 cards. The layout per page contains eight business cards.

How to print Avery business cards

To print Avery business cards, follow these steps:
1.Start Microsoft Publisher.
2.In the New Publication task pane, click Business Cards under By Publications, and then click Plain Paper.
3.In the Plain Paper Business Cards list, select the type of business card that you want to print.
4.In the Business Card Options task pane, you can make changes to the following options:
Publication Designs
Color Schemes
Font Schemes
Logo
Orientation
Copies per sheet
5.On the File menu, click Print, and then click Change Copies Per Sheet.
6.In the Small Publication Print Options dialog box, click to select the Print multiple copies per sheet check box, and then make the following changes:
In the Side Margin box, type 0.5".
In the Top Margin box, type 0.75".
In the Horizontal Gap box, type 0.5".
In the Vertical Gap box, type 0.5".
Note You must type the correct settings to match the layout for your Avery business cards. These measurements depend on the printer driver that you are using. You may have to make slight adjustments in the measurements.
7.Click OK to close the Small Publication Print Options dialog box.
8.Make sure that the Avery business card labels are loaded in the paper tray of your printer, and then click OK.

REFERENCES

The Special Paper option is a Paper Direct product. This vendor is independent of Microsoft Corporation and provides business cards that contain preprinted designs, shapes, and objects. If you print by using your Avery business card labels, you do not see any of the Special Paper features.
