While Analysis Services and Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) is running on Windows NT 4.0, and the OLAP client is using a HTTP connection, the error message described in the "Symptoms" section occurs. The HTTP connection invokes the Msolap.asp file on the IIS server and the Msolap.asp page is responsible for making the calls to connect to the Analysis Server server.
