This article describes an improvement for all Internet Explorer add-on developers to keep these products compliant with Enhanced Protected Mode (EPM) in Internet Explorer 11. The EPM Object Access API will abstract much of the mechanics for building an appropriate discretionary access control list (DACL) so that the third-party developers will achieve consistent results and will be insulated from future changes.
