This article discusses how to use command-line tools to remove or to repair your SharePoint Portal Server client installation.

If they are, see your product documentation to complete these steps. You can use Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel to remove or to repair client components of SharePoint Portal Server. Or, you can also use the command line to remove or to repair client components. NOTE: When you remove the client components, the User's Help file (Webfoldr.chm) is not removed because it replaces the original Web folders Help file. Command-Line SyntaxTo use a command line to remove or to repair the client components:
Disabling Prerequisite CheckingIf you have removed one or more of the SharePoint Portal Server client prerequisites, you cannot remove or repair the client components unless you disable prerequisite checking. To disable prerequisite checking, add DISABLEPREREQ=1 to the command line. For example:
