After you insert a Tagged Image File Format (TIFF) picture in a Word document, the picture may not be displayed as expected. For example, an inserted TIFF picture may display two-thirds of the picture correctly, but the remaining one-third of the picture may be garbled. The exact symptoms you may experience may be different. CAUSE

WORKAROUND
If your inserted TIFF picture is not displayed correctly, use one of the following methods, as appropriate.
Method 1: Paste as a Different Format
Method 2: Insert the Picture as a Different FormatOpen your TIFF picture in a graphics application, and then save the picture in a different graphics file format (for example: GIF, PNG, or JPEG). Then insert your new picture into your Word document.Method 3: Change the TIFF Picture to 8 Bits per PixelOpen your TIFF picture in a graphics application, and then save the TIFF picture as 8 bits per pixel. To do this, please refer to your graphics application documentation.STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
