SYMPTOMS
While processing multiple partitions in parallel, when one partition attempts to write to the DTS log file, it may produce an error message that resembles the following:
Could not write errors regarding missing dimension member key errors to the log file. Permission denied.
CAUSE
When an OLAP processing task attempts to write to the DTS log file and the log file is locked by another task, the processing task considers this to be an error, displays the above message, and stops processing.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for the Microsoft SQL Server 2000 (the Analysis Services Components - Sql2kasp1.exe). For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the
