SYMPTOMS
Passing a parameter of a Numeric datatype using sp_OAMethod in a stored procedure or Transact-SQL statement returns NULL as a datatype, which may cause errors during application execution. NOTE: The expected behavior is a conversion of the Numeric datatype to String through OLE Automation. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft SQL Server 2000.
