Message Reads "Floppy" instead of "CD" If SP1 Is Installed from Network Mapped Drive

SYMPTOMS

When you are adding Terminal Services Licensing after installing Service Pack 1 from a network mapped drive, the following message box appears:
Please insert the floppy disk labeled 'Service Pack 1 CD' into drive and then click OK.
The message should say "compact disc" or "CD" rather than "floppy disk". This behavior also occurs with other optional components.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
