This article provides a list of the files that are installed by the Active Directory Client Extension (DSClient) for Windows NT 4.0. DSClient enables those client platforms to take advantage of features provided by the Windows 2000 Active Directory Service. These client extensions were developed for customers who want to deploy Microsoft Windows 2000 Server in environments with Windows NT 4.0-based clients. Note Although the DSClient is available on the Windows 95 and Windows 98 operating systems, this article is targeted at Windows NT 4.0. Therefore, any reference to DSClient, unless otherwise stated, refers to the DSClient for Windows NT 4.0. MORE INFORMATION
The DSClient creates the following registry key, which can be used to identify the DSClient's presence:
