Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:
-
You have a Network File System (NFS) share configured on a Windows or a non-Windows-based computer.
-
You have a NFS client that is running on a Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012-based computer.
-
You try to access an NFS share from the client computer by using a Universal Naming Convention (UNC) path that resembles the following:
\\ServerName\ShareNameIn this scenario, you receive a Stop error message that resembles the following:
STOP: 0x00000027 ( parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4 )
Notes
-
This Stop error indicates a RDR_FILE_SYSTEM issue.

The parameters in this Stop error message vary, depending on the configuration of the computer.

Not all "0x00000027" Stop errors are caused by this issue.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, install update rollup 2967916, or install the hotfix that is described in this article.Â
