SYMPTOMS

When you use the Svcpack.inf file to install catalog files and automate the installation of hotfix packages, hotfixes that are listed in the [SetupHotfixesToRun] section of the Svcpack.inf file do not run.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, obtain and install the latest service pack for Windows 2000, and then follow the steps that are listed in the "More Information" section of this article. For information about how to obtain the latest Windows 2000 service pack, please visit the following Microsoft Web site:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/downloads/win2k.mspx

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000.

This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 2.
