The Pentium 4 Processor brand string is truncated on the General tab in Windows 2000 System properties.
The Pentium 4 Processor includes a 48-character brand string as part of the central processing unit identification (CPUID) instruction extensions. This brand string enables the processor brand name to be displayed correctly. This brand string is right-justified, and because of size constraints, the last nine characters in the 48-character brand string are not displayed in Windows 2000.
