When you set the Require Client Certificates option in Internet Information Server (IIS) version 5.0, to prompt users for a certificate selection each time they try to open a restricted folder from different Internet Explorer windows, the requirement seems to affect only the first client window that opens.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000. This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 2.
