SYMPTOMS

When you save your Microsoft Publisher Web page to a Web folder, the hyperlinks to external files are broken.

CAUSE

These hyperlinks to external files are broken because they point to the original location of the files on your computer's hard disk, instead of the files' location on the Web server. In addition, linked files are not automatically copied to your Web folder when you save your publication to a Web folder.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, save your Microsoft Publisher Web page to your Web folder, copy the necessary files to your Web server, and then open the Publisher Web page and edit the hyperlinks so that they point to the copy of your external files on the Web server.

The method that you use to upload your external files will be different, depending on your Internet connection and you Web service provider.
