Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You have a computer that is running Windows 8.1, Windows RT 8.1, or Windows Server 2012 R2, and the computer does not have a complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) real time clock.

  • You install the update 2919355 on the computer.

  • You put the computer into hibernate mode.

  • The computer resumes from hibernate mode.

In this scenario, the date and time will then appear incorrectly.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, install update rollup 2967917, or install the hotfix that is described in the "Hotfix information" section.

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that described in this article.
