You May Not Be Able to Add New Users After You Run the Secure Your ISA Server Computer Wizard

This article describes the difficulties you may have when you attempt to add a new user to your domain after you have run the Secure Your ISA Server Computer Wizard (where ISA is the abbreviation for Internet Security and Acceleration).

When you attempt to add a new user to your domain after you have run the Secure Your ISA Server Computer Wizard under ISA Packet Filters, you may receive the following error message: By running the Secure Your ISA Server Computer Wizard, you can make changes to the password requirements in the domain Group Policy.

Either you must enter a password, which complies with the domain policy, or you must change the password requirements for your domain by modifying the Group Policy object that is linked to your domain:

1. In the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in, open Active Directory Users and Computers, right-click the domain object, and then click Properties.
2. Click the Group Policy tab.
3. Click the Default Domain Policy GPO link, and then click Edit.
4. In the following folder, locate the following section in the Group Policy object:
   Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Account Policies\Password Policy.
5. Modify the password requirements.

To access the Secure Your ISA Server Computer Wizard, go to the following location:

1. Open the ISA Server MMC.
2. On the View menu, click Taskpad.
3. Locate the Server or Array Access Policy.
4. Expand the Access Policy, and then click IP Packet Filters.
5. In the right pane, click Secure Your ISA Server Computer.
