Only Audio Is Copied Although "Copy to Audio CD" Is Enabled for Video Media Files

Although the "Copy to Audio CD" feature is enabled for some video media files, when you use this feature, only the audio stream is copied to the CD-ROM or CD-RW.

This behavior occurs because only the audio stream can be copied to a CD-ROM or CD-RW in Windows Media Player.

To work around this behavior if you want to copy the video media files to a CD-ROM or CD-RW, please see Windows XP Help and Support for more information about how to copy files and folders to a CD-ROM or CD-RW.

This behavior is by design.

The "Copy to Audio CD" feature can be used in My Computer and Windows Explorer as well as Windows Media Player.

Video files may be transferred to some portable devices. The ability to copy the audio stream only was implemented for portable devices that only support audio.

NOTE: The portable device's Service Provider must support video transfer to have video media files copied to the device.
