SYMPTOMS

When you open a new message in Microsoft Outlook, you may find that the Send button on the toolbar is missing or that when you click the File menu, the Send command is missing.

Note In Outlook 2007, the Send command is missing when you click the Microsoft Office Button.

RESOLUTION

For the Send button to be available, you must create an e-mail account by clicking E-mail Accounts on the Tools menu. After you configure the e-mail account, the Send button is available on the toolbar and the Send command is available when you click the File menu.
