Description of the Microsoft Windows Registry
On This PageSUMMARY
This article describes how to use the Microsoft Custom Installation Wizard (CIW) to configure a custom installation to automatically import Microsoft Schedule+ 7.x data to the Outlook 2000 Calendar. When you use this method, only Schedule+ 7.x data that is located in a Microsoft Exchange Server mailbox is imported.
MORE INFORMATIONWARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may
require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve
problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own
risk. If you are an administrator, you can use the CIW to add custom registry entries to the Windows registry during the installation process. If a user's Schedule+ 7.x Calendar information is stored on an Exchange Server computer, set the following registry key and value on the Add/Modify Registry Entry dialog box on page ten of the CIW to migrate the data to Outlook 2000: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Outlook\Import
During the installation process, this entry is added to the registry on the
user's computer. When you run Outlook 2000 for the first time, the following
process occurs:
Value Name: ImportDetection Value Type: DWORD Value Data: 1 (When you set this value, the user is prompted to import Schedule+ information.) Value Data: 2 (When you set this value, the user is not prompted to import Schedule+ information.)
Troubleshooting Import ProblemsIf issues occur when you use the automatic process to import Schedule+ data, use the following troubleshooting method:
