SYMPTOMS

After you install Windows XP, and you run Windows product registration, you may receive the following error message:
An Internet connection could not be chosen.
Windows was unable to determine which network connection to use for Internet access.

CAUSE

This problem can occur if there are multiple-connective devices that are installed in the computer and Windows XP is unable to determine which device to use.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, complete the Windows product registration process, and then run the Network Setup Wizard.
