SYMPTOMS

If you choose to send a file as attachment from another Microsoft Office program (for example, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, or Microsoft PowerPoint), the message may be sent before you can save it, and you may receive the following error message:

The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook.
