SYMPTOMS

When you use a command-line switch to control what happens when you start Microsoft Outlook, you may receive an error message that is resembles one of the following error messages:
Windows cannot find "Outlook /switch". Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.
Cannot find the file "Outlook /switch" (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available.
For example, you may receive the following error message when you use the /cleanreminders switch:
Windows cannot find "Outlook /cleanreminders". Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the command-line switch is included in the path and is enclosed in opening and closing quotation marks, or because the Outlook.exe file is not in the current path.
