PPT2000: Cannot Use the Keyboard to Advance a Slideshow

After you play an inserted movie, you cannot use the keyboard to advance your Microsoft PowerPoint slide show or to quit your show.

To work around this issue, use your mouse to continue or quit the slide show. After you advance the show with the mouse at least once, you can resume using the keyboard.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

This issue does not occur with .avi video files.
