SYMPTOMS

When you are migrating users' Personal Address Books (PABs) from Lotus cc:Mail, the PAB entry may have the e-mail address in the display name instead of the friendly name.

CAUSE

After retrieving the address list from cc:Mail and locating the entry for the PAB, there was no UName field present, therefore, the display name was filled with the contents of the e-mail address field.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Service Pack 2.

MORE INFORMATION

With this fix, the Migration Wizard defaults to the Name field for the display name unless there is a UName field. In that case, it overrides the Name field with the UName field.
