SYMPTOMS

Name resolution may stop working in certain instances (particularly in case of invalid delegations) as Windows 2000 DNS Server may cache NS records that are longer than their TTL value. These NS records may not be displayed in the MMC or by using the Dnscmd.exe tool, but they may be continued to be used for up to 24 hours.
