Article ID: 304087 - Last Review: September 23, 2005 - Revision: 3.5 Contact distribution lists display incorrectly in Outlook 2000 when it is on a computer that is running Windows 98 or Windows MillenniumThis article was previously published under Q304087 SYMPTOMS If you view a Contact distribution list in Outlook 2000
running on Windows 98, some of the members in the Contact distribution list
display an e-mail address that is the same as the member's name with the first
two characters missing. The following is an example of how the e-mail address appears: ============================== Name E-Mail ============================== User1 er1 User2 er2 ============================== CAUSE This problem occurs because Outlook 2002 has Unicode
support (on all Microsoft Windows platforms) for Contact distribution lists.
But when Outlook 2000 is running on Windows 98, it does not support Unicode.
RESOLUTION To resolve this problem, obtain the latest
service pack for Microsoft Office 2000. For additional information, click the
