INFO: HTTP Compression Is Not Available in Internet Information Services (IIS)

HTTP Compression is not available in the versions of Internet Information Services (IIS) that are listed in this article. In addition, configuration of HTTP Compression is disabled and not available in the Internet Service Manager (ISM).

The versions of IIS that can be installed on the Professional versions of the Windows operating system are intended as development platforms and are not designed for use as production servers. These versions of IIS have certain features that are provided in a limited capacity or completely disabled. Some features may available, but are not supported by Microsoft Product Support Services (PSS).
