Article ID: 305279 - Last Review: February 22, 2007 - Revision: 1.5 Visio2000: Error 1430 When You Try to Save in Visio 5.0 Drawing File FormatThis article was previously published under Q305279 SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Visio 2000, when you save a drawing in the Microsoft Visio 5.0 drawing format, you receive the following error message:
An error (1430) occurred during the action Save As. There is a file sharing conflict. The file cannot be opened as requested. CAUSE
This error message occurs when another instance of Visio or another user has opened the same Visio 5.0 document. In Visio 2000, if you save a drawing in Visio 5.0 format and do not close the drawing, Visio removes the locks that are designed to prevent other users from having write-access to the file. Therefore, another user can open the same file, which causes the error message the next time you save the file.
