In Microsoft Visio 2000, when you save a drawing in the Microsoft Visio 5.0 drawing format, you receive the following error message:

This error message occurs when another instance of Visio or another user has opened the same Visio 5.0 document.

In Visio 2000, if you save a drawing in Visio 5.0 format and do not close the drawing, Visio removes the locks that are designed to prevent other users from having write-access to the file. Therefore, another user can open the same file, which causes the error message the next time you save the file.
