This step-by-step article describes how to configure Clip Gallery to run from a network location after Microsoft Office is already installed on users' computers.
Clip Gallery stores clip property information such as categories, keywords, and thumbnail previews in catalogs. Clip Gallery catalogs can be stored on a user's hard disk, on a removable disk, or on a network share. The Artgal50.mmc file is the primary catalog in which Clip Gallery stores clip property information about the clip files that users import to Clip Gallery. By default, Artgal50.mmc is located in the Application Data\Microsoft\Media Catalog folder on each user's hard disk. To configure Clip Gallery to run from a network location, you create a network share in which to store the clip files and the Artgal50.mmc file, and then configure each user's computer to access the shared catalog. How to Configure Clip Gallery to Run from a Network LocationTo configure Clip Gallery to run from a network location, follow these steps.Rename the Artgal50.mmc FileTo rename the current Artgal50.mmc file, follow these steps:

Import the Shared CatalogTo import the shared catalog, follow these steps on each computer on which you want to access the shared catalog.
