SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to perform a search in a Microsoft FrontPage Web, you may receive the following error message:

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if all of the following conditions are true:

You create a folder in a Microsoft FrontPage Web.
You create a Web page in that folder.
You insert a Search Form component into that Web page.
You convert the folder into a subweb of the original FrontPage Web.
You attempt to perform a search by using the Search Form Web component.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

Start Microsoft FrontPage 2000, and then open the Web that contains the newly created subweb.
In the Folder List pane, double-click the new subweb.

The subweb is opened in a new Microsoft FrontPage window.
In the Folder List pane, double-click the Web page that contains the inserted Search Form component.

The page opens in the right pane of the FrontPage window.
On the File menu, click Save.

On the Tools menu, click Recalculate Hyperlinks. The following message appears:

   The Recalculate Hyperlinks command does the following:

   - Repairs all hyperlinks in your Web
   - Updates information for all FrontPage-based components,
     including shared borders and navigation bars
   - Synchronizes Web data, database information, and categories

This process may take several minutes. Do you wish to continue?

Click Yes. The hyperlinks are recalculated.
