SYMPTOMS

When you are using a command prompt, the Command Prompt window is not displayed with the Windows XP theme. Instead, the Command Prompt window uses the Windows Classic theme.

CAUSE

The Command Prompt window runs under the Client Server Runtime System (CSRSS), which cannot be themed.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
