This article describes how to install Microsoft Personal Web Server on a Windows 98-based computer.

To install Microsoft Personal Web Server:
  1. Insert your Windows 98 CD-ROM in your CD-ROM drive.
  2. Click Start, and then click Run.
  3. In the Open box, type the following path to the Setup.exe file, where x is the letter of your CD-ROM drive:
    x:\add-ons\pws\setup.exe
  4. Click OK.
  5. Follow the instructions in Personal Web Server Setup.
