When you attempt to create a new folder in a Web that you create with the Microsoft 60 Minute Intranet Kit, you may receive the following error message:
70:Permission denied This Virtual Directory cannot be accessed. This error can be caused if directory browsing has not been enabled for the directory, or if read permissions have not been set. Please contact the Web server's administrator if the problem persists. CAUSE
This issue can occur when the Web site or the virtual directory that you create uses only Anonymous authentication.
Microsoft Windows NT requires integrated authentication in order to allow changes to the Web site. This is to prevent unauthorized changes to the Web site. RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, edit the security settings of your Web site to include integrated Windows authentication. To do this, use one of the following methods:
Method 1: Internet Service Manager
Method 2: Microsoft FrontPage 2000If the virtual directory has Windows NT Challenge/Response authentication enabled, you can apply permissions from within Microsoft FrontPage 2000. To do this, follow these steps:
