This article describes how to chain the installation of the Media Content CD-ROM to a core Office XP installation by using the Setup INI Customization Wizard.

Chaining the Media Content Installation to the Office XP Installation
If you install the Media Content the same way that you install Office, only the Microsoft Clip Organizer (a collection of catalog files) is installed on the local hard disk. The media files (or clips) remain on the CD-ROM. This is the default behavior. However, you can use the Setup INI Customization Wizard to chain the Media Content (Cag.msi) installation to the Office XP installation, rather than deploying the Media Content separately. To do this, follow these steps:
| 1. | Copy the Media Content CD-ROM to the Office XP administrative installation point. |
| 2. | Start the Setup INI Customization Wizard. |
| 3. | On the Select MSI and EXE files to include in your INI file page, select the Cag.msi package check box. This option is located at the root of the Media Content CD-ROM. |
| 4. | On the Specify options for each package in your INI file page, select Cag.msi and then specify any options that you want.
For example, to install the Media Content quietly and prevent a user from installing the media files onto the local hard disk, select the Basic display setting option. |

Troubleshooting
| • | Unlike the Office XP CD-ROM, the Media Content CD-ROM is not compressed. If you use the default setting and leave media files to run from the source, a user can access media files from either the CD-ROM or the CD-ROM image on the network. Unless you change the setting, the Media Content uses the same installation location as Office XP and is installed in the same folder on a user's hard disk. |
| • | You cannot use the /jm command-line option to advertise the Media Content package, nor can you use the Microsoft Windows 2000 software installation (IntelliMirror) to assign or publish Media Content. |
