This article describes how to enable or disable notifications when print jobs are completed in Windows XP. Computers that have shared printers attached act as print servers. Windows XP can act as a print server for as many as ten simultaneous remote users. You can configure whether notifications are sent to users who send print jobs to the printers that are attached to a Windows XP-based print server.
