When you try to write (burn) files to a CD-ROM in one of the following Samsung CD-RW drives, the files may not appear on the CD-ROM, and you may not be able to add more information to the CD-ROM:
NOTE: This issue may not be limited to the previously noted CD-RW drives. CAUSE
This issue can occur because some CD-RW drives do not properly update their internal table of contents when a CD-ROM is written "Track At Once" and the CD-ROM is not closed.

How to back up and restore the registry in Windows NOTE: You must be logged on as a user that has Administrative privileges to make changes to the registry. To resolve this issue, contact Samsung to inquire about the availability of a fix for this issue. To work around this issue, start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe), and then locate and click the following key in the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE\CDROMXXXX\instance\Device Parameters\Imapi
where CDROMXXXX is the Plug and Play device ID for the CD-RW drive, and instance is a value that is specific to the CD-RW drive. For example:

The issue that is described in this article is not a problem with
the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. Although this is a hardware problem, Microsoft is providing the workaround that is described in the "Resolution" section of this article to prevent this issue from occurring on Windows XP-based computers that have one of the CD-RW drive models that is listed earlier in this article.
