SYMPTOMS

After you resume a Microsoft Windows XP-based computer from standby, the computer stays at the highest processor performance state, even though a lower performance state has been implemented by Windows XP before standby. This behavior occurs on all Hewlett-Packard (HP) Pavilion computers that include the AMD K6-2 processor.

RESOLUTION

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was corrected in Windows XP Service Pack 1.
