In the SQL Agent Properties dialog box, if you clear the Save copies of the sent messages in the sent items folder text box, the sent messages are not saved in the Sent items folder. However, the sent messages are stored in the Root directory of the source mailbox. The e-mail messages are not visible to mail clients such as Microsoft Outlook and they remain indefinitely in the Root directory, occupying space and causing the client mailboxes to fill up.
