XADM: Message Size Is Not Reduced Properly When You Delete the Attachment from a MIME Message

If you send a Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (MIME) message (for example, a message that is sent from Microsoft MSN Hotmail) to Exchange 2000, and that message has an attachment, the total message size includes the message plus the attachment. If you delete the attachment, the total message size may not be reported correctly; the total message size should be the message size minus the attachment size.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.

This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Service Pack 2.
