When you need to perform disaster recovery of the Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 databases, you may receive the following error message while you are trying to install a copy of Exchange Server 5.5 from BackOffice Small Business Server 4.5:
While attempting to start the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service, the following error was encountered: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. Microsoft Windows NT ID no: 0xc002041d CAUSE
This behavior can occur because the application compatibility file that is installed by SBS 2000 (_Sbsw2ku.dll) is not compatible with Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 (SP2).
