When you try to send a message by means of CompuServe's Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) server, you may receive the following error messages:
The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address. The sender's e-mail address was 'user email@example.com'.
Subject subject text
Server Response: '556 CLIENT AUTHENTICATION REQUIRED. USE ESMTP EHLO AND AUTH.'
Server Error: 556
Error Number: 0x800CCC78
If you receive the second error message, Outlook Express does copy the e-mail message to the Sent Items folder.
Some of the messages in your Outbox Folder could not be copied to your Sent Items Folder. Your message could not be uploaded to the IMAP server. The server refused to accept it.
