SYMPTOMS

Your laptop computer that supports Intel SpeedStep Technology but that does not support RTC wake-up from S4 (Hibernate) may stop responding (hang) when it resumes from hibernation.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows XP. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
