SYMPTOMS

If you run an OpenGL-based program in Windows XP 64-Bit Edition, you may receive an error message that describes an access violation.

This problem is caused by an invalid compiler optimization.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows XP. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
