"Error 1704: An install for Visio 2002 is currently suspended" error message when you run the Visio 2002 Setup program

When you run Microsoft Visio 2002 Setup, you may receive an error message that is similar to the following: As a result, you cannot set up Visio 2002.

This issue may occur if the following key is present in the registry:

To resolve this issue, remove the registry key, and then rerun Visio Setup. To do this, follow these steps.

1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
3. Locate the following registry key:
   HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\InProgress
4. Select the key, and then press DELETE.
5. Click Yes to confirm the delete operation.
6. On the Registry menu, click Exit to quit the Registry Editor.
7. Run Visio Setup.
