In Microsoft FrontPage, if you delete a file from a Web server, the file is deleted, but you may receive the following error messages in the Web server's Event Viewer Application Log:
Event Type: Warning Event Source: FrontPage 4.0 Event Category: None Event ID: 1000 Date: 1/1/2001 Time: 12:00:30 PM User: N/A Computer: SERVER Description: Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions: http://SERVER - Error #80002 Message: System exception: access violation.
This behavior can occur if the Web is hosted on a Web server running Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 5.0 and FrontPage 2000 Server Extensions.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
This problem was corrected in FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions.
