While you are installing Service Pack 1 (SP1) for Exchange 2000 Server, you may encounteer one or more of the following unexpected behaviors:

This behavior can occur if the downloaded Exchange 2000 Server SP1 installation files are incomplete or have become corrupted, possibly during the download process. Alternatively, the Install program may view the files as incomplete if the five parts of the Exchange 2000 SP1 set have not all been decompressed. This behavior can also occur if you specify different destination folders for the decompressed files. If you accept the default settings, the decompressed files are stored in the following location: Drive:\Documents and Settings\current username\Local Settings\Temp\Setup\i386
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, perform one or both of the following procedures:
