After you install Windows XP or upgrade to Windows XP, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:
CAUSE
This issue can occur if you are using a network adapter that is not supported in Windows XP.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use either of the following methods:
Method 1Contact the manufacturer of your network adapter to see whether there is a Windows XP-compatible driver for your network adapter.Method 2Replace the network adapter with a network adapter that Windows XP supports. Check the most recent Windows Hardware Compatibility List (HCL), which is available at the following Microsoft Web site:http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/hcl/default.mspx
