When you try to download a file from the Microsoft Windows Update Web site, you may not receive the downloadable file, and you may receive the following message in the Internet Explorer Status bar:
Javascript:void(0)
CAUSE
This issue can be caused by a damaged scripting engine.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, download Windows Script 5.7. "Javascript:void(0)" is the code that is used as the hyperlink target. The "Javascript:void(0)" message always appears when you click a link or mouse over a link on the Windows Update site. This behavior is normal.
