The Office XP Extended Alerts service has been discontinued. If you have previously installed Microsoft Office XP Extended Alerts, Microsoft recommends that you now remove the software. To remove Office XP Extended Alerts, use the method appropriate for your installed version of Microsoft Windows.

Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me), Microsoft Windows 98, or Microsoft Windows NT 4.0

1.Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2.Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
3.On the Install/Uninstall tab, click to select Office XP Extended Alerts, and then click Add/Remove.
4.When you are prompted with the message Are you sure you want to uninstall this product?, click Yes.

Microsoft Windows 2000

1.Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2.Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
3.In the list of currently installed programs, click Office XP Extended Alerts, and then click Remove.
4.When you are prompted with the message Are you sure you want to remove Office XP Extended Alerts from your computer?, click Yes.

Microsoft Windows XP

1.Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click Add or Remove Programs.
2.In the list of currently installed programs, click Office XP Extended Alerts, and then click Remove.
3.When you are prompted with the message Are you sure you want to remove Office XP Extended Alerts from your computer?, click Yes.
